How to Make Bitter Gourd Side Dish

  • Scrape the bitter gourds then cut into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
  • When they begin to splutter, add the onions and green chilli and fry till brown.
  • Add the ginger paste and saute for a few minutes.
  • Mix in the bitter gourd, coconut, turmeric and salt and mix well.
  • Add 1 cup of water and cook on low heat till the bitter gourd is cooked and all the water dries up.
  • Serve hot.
