Ingredients

  • 2 cups - atta
  • 1 cup - soaked and pressure cooked black Channa dal
  • 1 cup - grated Carrot and Cabbage
  • 2 tbsp - soya flour ( optional )
  • 1 tbsp - grated Ginger
  • 1 tsp - Jeera seeds
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp - fennel powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • salt as per taste

How to Make

  • Grind the boiled black channa to a powder after cooling it.
  • Mix all the ingredients along with the channa powder and make a soft dough.
  • Knead the dough using warm water.
  • Allow it to stand for 30 minutes
  • Make equal-sized balls, about the size of lemons.
  • Roll in to small discs.
  • Roast it on the tawa and serve.
  • Ghee or oil can be used for roasting it (optional).
