  • 1 lb - Butter
  • 3 cups - Sugar
  • 6 - eggs
  • 3.5 cups - flour
  • 1 cup - cocoa
  • 1 cup - non-fat yogurt
  • 2 tsp - vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp - baking powder

How to Make Black Death Cake

  • Cream butter and sugar together.
  • Add eggs and beat well.
  • Add 2 cups flour and beat well.
  • Mix in yogurt and extract.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Butter a 10 inch cake tin and dust with cocoa powder.
  • Pour batter into pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until the cake pulls away from the tin's edges.
  • Cool in the tin for 20 minutes.
  • Remove and let it cool.
