  • 10 -black pepper
  • 1 tsp -jeera
  • 3-red chillies
  • 10 pieces- garlic
  • 1 tsp -coconut powder
  • salt
  • curry leaves for seasoning
  • mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp -tamarind
  • 1 tsp -jaggery

How to Make Black Pepper Rasam (Melagu Rasam)

  • Grind black pepper, jeera, red chillies, coconut, and 2-3 pieces of garlic and make into fine paste.
  • Fry remaining garlic and add the paste.
  • Add tamarind, jaggery and water to the fried masala.
  • Boil the content for about 15 min.
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
  • This must be served hot with rice.
