  • 10 -black pepper
  • 1 tsp -jeera
  • 3-red chillies
  • 10 pieces- Garlic
  • 1 tsp -coconut powder
  • salt
  • Curry leaves for seasoning
  • Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp -tamarind
  • 1 tsp -jaggery
  • How to Make Black Pepper Rasam (Melagu Rasam):

    1. Grind black pepper, jeera, red chillies, coconut, and 2-3 pieces of garlic and make into fine paste.
    2. Fry remaining garlic and add the paste.
    3. Add tamarind, jaggery and water to the fried masala.
    4. Boil the content for about 15 min.
    5. Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
    6. This must be served hot with rice.
