  • 1 cup - chana dal
  • 2.5 cups - jaggery
  • 1 cup - wheat flour (atta)
  • 1/4 cup - water
  • 2 cups - oil for frying

How to Make Bobbatlu

  • Boil the chana dal.
  • Powder the jaggery and mix it into the boiled and cooked chana dal and cook for a few more minutes.
  • Make into medium-sized (golf) balls and set aside.
  • Mix the wheat flour with water and roll out the chapattis.
  • Put one ball of the chana dal mix between two chapattis and flatten out. Then roll into a medium sized disc, slightly larger than puris.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry lightly. Serve when cool.
