Ingredients

  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Rice flour - 1/4 cup
  • Curd - 2 tbsp
  • Salt according to taste
  • Coriander leaves, chopped - 1 tbsp
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Baking soda, a pinch
  • For Garlic Chutney:
  • Garlic - 10 flakes
  • Ripe Desi Tomatoes - 2
  • Sambar Onions - 4
  • Red Chillies - 5
  • Tamarind Extract - 1 tsp
  • Lime Juice - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar - 1/4 tsp

How to Make Bonda With Garlic Chutney

  • Sift maida, rice flour and salt.
  • Add curd to the sifted flour.
  • Add water and mix well, making a thick batter.
  • Keep for 2 hours, then add coriander leaves and baking soda to the batter and mix well.
  • Heat oil. Take batter in your hands, make a ball and drop in the oil.
  • Fry till golden brown in colour.
  • Serve hot with garlic chutney.
  • For garlic chutney:
  • Cook tomatoes along with tamarind, salt and onions.
  • Grind to a fine paste with the other ingredients.
