  • 1 - Bottle gourd, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 5 - curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 2 - dry red chilli broken into bits
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 cup - thick curd.

How to Make Bottle Gourd (Calabash) With Curds

  • Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
  • When they begin to crackle add the dry red chillies and curry leaves and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add the bottle gourd pieces, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
  • Add a little water and cook covered on low heat till the bottle gourd is tender.
  • Add the curd and mix well so that it blends well with the curry.
  • Serve.
