How to Make Bottle Gourd (Lauki) Kheer

  • Peel the skin of the bottle gourd, remove seeds, grate them and squeeze out the water.
  • In a kadai add the ghee and saute bottle gourd for 3-5 mins in a low flame and keep aside.
  • Boil the milk and reduce it to 3/4 th of the quantity.
  • Add condensed milk, stir add the grated bottle gourd boil in milk for 10 mins in a low flame.
  • Switch off the flame and add sugar and cardamom powder. Stir well.
  • Garnish with few saffron strands.
  • Serve chilled
