How to Make Bottle Gourd Subzi

  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, urad dal, chana dal, red chillies, cumin seeds.
  • Saute till they splutter and then add turmeric powder, sabji masala powder, curry leaves.
  • Blend this seasoning well and then add the cut bottle gourd.
  • Fry the vegetable in the oil until it is cooked and the ingredients have bound together.
  • Finally, add jaggery and salt.
  • Bottle gourd gets soft and tender after it is cooked.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti/naan.
