Ingredients

  • 250 g - green beans
  • 1 tsp - chopped Garlic
  • 1 tsp - ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - cooking oil.

How to Make Braised Green Beans

  • Trim the ends off the beans and chop into one inch pieces. Wash and drain.
  • Heat oil in a suitable pan and saute the chopped garlic till golden brown.
  • Add the beans, turmeric powder and salt and mix well. Stir fry for a minutes.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and cook on low heat till the beans are tender and all the water evaporates.
  • Sprinkle ground pepper and stir fry for a few minutes.
  • Serve as a side dish with rice.
