Ingredients

  • Tiny pieces of bread crust - 1 cup
  • Besan (chickpeas flour) - 6 tbsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Thymol (ajwain) seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 2 tsp, minced
  • Onion - 1/2 cup, minced
  • Oil to deep fry
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Bread Pakodis

  • Mix all the ingredients together except the oil. Add enough water to form a thick paste.
  • Heat oil for deep frying.
  • With moist fingers, pick up tiny lumps of the bread mixture and drop in moderately hot oil.
  • Fry till the pakodis are golden brown.
  • Serve hot with ketchup.
