Ingredients

  • 3 cups - idli rava
  • 1 cup - Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • How to Make Breakfast Idli:

    1. Soak urad dal and rava separately for 6-8 hrs. Grind them together to make a thick paste. Leave to ferment overnight.
    2. The next day, add salt and mix well.
    3. Grease idli plates with oil and pour the mixture.
    4. Steam the idli plates with no whistle for about 10 mins.
    5. Turn off and remove idli plates and sprinkle water.
    6. Scoop out the idlis with a wet spoon occasionally dipping it in a cup of water.
    7. Serve idlis with chutney/sambar.
