Ingredients

  • Brinjal - 2 medium size
  • Onion - 1, chopped fine
  • Channa dal - 2 tsp
  • Peanuts - few
  • Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
  • Red chillies - 1 tsp
  • Tamarind juice - 1 tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp

How to Make Brinjal in Gravy

  • Take small pieces of brinjal and fry in oil with onions and salt till tender
  • Meanwhile, fry channa dal, peanuts, dhania seeds, red chillies, cumin and grind with tamarind juice into a paste and put the paste into the cooked brinjal
  • Cook for a few mins
  • Serve hot with rice
