  • 1 - big Brinjal
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Urad Dal
  • 1 tsp - Channa dal
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 bunch
  • Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
  • 4 cup - yogurt or thick Curd
  • How to Make Brinjal Thair Bhaji:

    1. Apply oil on brinjal and bake at 350 degrees in an oven for about 20 minutes
    2. Keep the brinjal in the oven for some more time if it's not soft enough to peel the skin
    3. Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds.
    4. Now add urad dal, channa dal, green chillies and curry leaves.
    5. Fry till the dal turns brown
    6. Remove the pan from the flame and transfer the mixture to a vessel
    7. Add yogurt and salt
    8. Peel the skin of the brinjal and add the brinjal to the mixture in the vessel and mix well
    9. Add the coriander leaves
    10. Serve with rice
