Ingredients

1 floret Broccoli

1 Onion (finely chopped)

3/4 tsp Ginger (grated)

1 tsp sambar powder or replace with Red Chilli powder

Salt as needed

To temper:

1 tsp oil

3/4 tsp mustard

1 tsp Cumin seeds

Method

  1. Cut broccoli into small bite size pieces as we do for cauliflower.I parboiled the broccoli (you can skip this step).
  2. Heat a pan with oil (I used olive oil) and temper with the items given under the `to temper section.
  3. Add ginger, onion and fry for a minute, add the sambar powder and salt and just give it a stir. Add the broccoli florets and mix well.
  4. Keep in low flame and cook covered for 3-5 minutes, without changing its crunchiness.
