Ingredients

  • 1 cup - brown garbanzo beans
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tbsp - black gram dal
  • 3 - Red Chillies
  • 2 tbsp - grated/shredded Coconut
  • curry leaves, small quantity
  • asafoetida, a pinch
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying
  • How to Make Brown beans sundal:

    1. Wash and soak garbanzo beans in water for 8-10 hours.
    2. Boil it in pressure cooker for 10 minutes.
    3. Heat oil in a pan/kadai, splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, red chillies, curry leaves and add grated coconut.
    4. Add a little salt and asafoetida. Mix them well.
