Ingredients

  • Onions – 550 grams (approx – 8 medium size Onion)
  • Oil – 4 tbsp
  • Yoghurt – 1 cup (250 ml)
  • Finely Sliced Onions

How to Make Brown Onion Paste

  • Finely slice onions.
  • Heat oil in a heavy bottomed non-stick pan.
  • Sauté onions for 5 minutes on high heat till it becomes translucent.
  • Continue sautéing for another 15 minutes till it is caramelized and brown, on a medium to low flame.
  • Transfer this to a grinder when cool, add the yoghurt and grind to a smooth paste.
  • Move to small containers. Label. Store in a freezer – up-to a month.
