Ingredients

  • Onions – 550 grams (approx – 8 medium size Onion)
  • Oil – 4 tbsp
  • Yoghurt – 1 cup (250 ml)
  • Finely Sliced Onions
  • How to Make Brown Onion Paste:

    1. Finely slice onions.
    2. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed non-stick pan.
    3. Sauté onions for 5 minutes on high heat till it becomes translucent.
    4. Continue sautéing for another 15 minutes till it is caramelized and brown, on a medium to low flame.
    5. Transfer this to a grinder when cool, add the yoghurt and grind to a smooth paste.
    6. Move to small containers. Label. Store in a freezer – up-to a month.
