How to Make Brown rice patties

  • Heat a tsp of oil in a pan and saute the onions and garlic till soft.
  • Add the spices, cook for 2 more minutes and then add the chickpeas to it.
  • Cook for another 2 to 3 mins and then grind it along with salt, cashews and cilantro.
  • Mix the brown rice, the chickpeas mixture, carrot, the lemon juice, salt and the breadcrumbs along with egg.
  • Refrigerate for 20 to 30 mins and then form patties of the mixture and cook them in a non-stick pan with little oil.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve with tomato sauce.
