Ingredients

  • 1 cup - plain flour
  • 3/4 cup - Wheat bran
  • 1/4 cup - powdered Almonds
  • 1 tsp - rose water
  • 1/2 cup - Ghee
  • 3/4 cup - jaggery, grated
  • How to Make Brunes:

    1. Beat ghee till creamy. Add flour, almond, bran, rose water and jaggery.
    2. Mix to form a smooth dough. Cover with a polythene sheet.
    3. Keep aside for 4 hours.
    4. Roll into a 1/3-inch thick slab.
    5. Cut into small logs, with biscuit cutter or knife.
    6. Place on a non-stick baking sheet.
    7. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree C for 12-15 minutes or till done.
    8. Cool well to room temperature, before storing in an air-tight jar.
