Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp - freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp - crushed Garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp - Tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp - curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 4 tbsp - water

How to Make Bunjal Chicken

  • Preheat oven to 180 C.
  • Place the chicken in a covered baking dish or casserole with 1/2 tsp salt and olive oil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Add the onion, pepper, garlic, tomato puree, garam masala, curry powder and 1/4 tsp salt.
  • Mix all together, then add water for the ingredients to cook.
  • Return to the oven for 5 more minutes to blend all the flavours.
  • Serve with rice, naan or roti.
