Ingredients

  • 4 - egg whites
  • 1/2 cup - margarine
  • 2 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup - milk
  • 2 cups - plain flour
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1.5 cup - sugar
  • For frosting: 2.5 cups - powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp - water
  • 1/4 cup - butter
  • 2 tsp - vanilla essence
  • For decoration: 1 cup - jelly beans
  • 2 tbsp - cherries

How to Make Bunny Vanilla Cake

  • Cream margarine and sugar till light and fluffy.
  • Beat the eggs and gradually add to the mixture.
  • Add the flour, sifted with baking powder.
  • Blend the batter well.
  • Stir in the milk so that the mixture becomes even and smooth.
  • Grease two round cake tins.
  • Pour the ready cake mixture in to the two tins.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350 Fahrenheit for 25 mins.
  • When the top is golden in colour, take it out from the oven.
  • Cool the cake for 15 mins.
  • Remove the sides of the pan and cool completely.
  • One cake is for the face.
  • From other cake, cut a curved scoop from both the sides, the remaining portion is the bow tie.
  • Place the cut three pieces near the first cake
  • And the shape of the bunny is ready.
  • Method of frosting:
  • Mix 1 cup sugar, vanilla essence and butter.
  • Beat well.
  • Alternatively add some sugar and some water, beating continuously.
  • Beat till smooth, and frosting is ready.
  • How to decorate:
  • Frost the whole bunny.
  • Use cherries as eyes.
  • Place a pink jelly as a nose.
