How to Make Burnt Ginger Rice

  • Clean and wash the rice, and soak it in four to five cups of water for one hour.
  • Cook the rice in 5 cups of hot boiling water and strain the excess water, allow the same to cool.
  • Finely chop the onions, ginger and coriander leaves.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and add finely chopped ginger, onions. Keep frying till golden brown.
  • Then add the rice, soya sauce, tomato sauce, red chilli paste, ajinomoto and salt.
  • Keep stirring continuously on a high flame for one minute.
  • Add coriander leaves and the vinegar.
  • Garnish with deep fried ginger slices, sliced tomatoes and fried red chillies.
  • Serve hot.
