  • 3 cups - Maida
  • 1.5 cups - powder Sugar
  • 3 - Egg yolk and 1 Egg white (reserve the balance 2 Egg whites for coating)
  • 1/2 cup - Butter
  • For decoration:
  • Crushed cashews and cherries, half chopped

How to Make Butter Nuts

  • Cream butter and sugar till fluffy.
  • Add in the well beaten egg.
  • Add little of the flour and make a nice soft dough
  • Make small balls of the dough (approx. 2 cm diameter)
  • Flatten one side of the ball and keep this as the base.
  • Roll the rounded side of the ball in the beaten egg white thereafter roll this into the crushed cashews.
