  • 1 cup - flour
  • 1/4 cup - Butter
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • 6 - eggs
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp - vanilla essence

How to Make Butter Sponge Cake with vanilla essence

  • Sieve the flour and baking powder.
  • Add butter and vanilla essence to the milk.
  • Beat the egg yolks until very thick. Slowly beat in the sugar.
  • Immediately add the sieved ingredients and mix for just a second.
  • Gently stir in the scalded milk mixture.
  • Pour the batter in a greased pan. Bake in an oven at 375 degrees F for 35-40 minutes. Cool well and serve.
