Ingredients

  • 1 cup - flour
  • 1/4 cup - Butter
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • 6 - eggs
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp - vanilla essence
  • How to Make Butter Sponge Cake with vanilla essence:

    1. Sieve the flour and baking powder.
    2. Add butter and vanilla essence to the milk.
    3. Beat the egg yolks until very thick. Slowly beat in the sugar.
    4. Immediately add the sieved ingredients and mix for just a second.
    5. Gently stir in the scalded milk mixture.
    6. Pour the batter in a greased pan. Bake in an oven at 375 degrees F for 35-40 minutes. Cool well and serve.
