Ingredients

  • For Stuffing:
  • Cabbage (fresh) - 1 cup (finely grated)
  • Cheddar Cheese or any type of cheese you like - 1/2 cup (finely grated)
  • Green chillies- 2-3 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 1/2 tsp (finely grated)
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Paprika powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Ghee or Butter - 3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice -1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • For Dough:
  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Maida or all purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Warm water to make dough

How to Make Cabbage-Cheese Parathas

  • Take a bowl. Add wheat flour, maida, salt, melted ghee and make dough with warm water.
  • Keep kneading the dough for 15 minutes until soft. Cover it let it stand for half an hour.
  • Take the grated cabbage and squeeze out all the water in it.
  • Heat a pan on a medium flame. Add the cabbage and all other ingredients except cheese and lemon juice.
  • Fry until raw smell of the vegetable goes.
  • Now remove from the flame, allow it to cool down and then add lemon juice and cheese. Mix it well.
  • Take the dough and make medium or small size balls. Flatten it, keep 1 tsp of stuffing in it and seal it properly.
  • Then roll it using a little maida flour into parathas.
  • Heat a griddle, cook these parathas till golden brown in colour on both the sides..
