Ingredients

  • For Stuffing:
  • Cabbage (fresh) - 1 cup (finely grated)
  • Cheddar Cheese or any type of cheese you like - 1/2 cup (finely grated)
  • Green chillies- 2-3 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 1/2 tsp (finely grated)
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Paprika powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Ghee or Butter - 3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice -1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • For Dough:
  • Wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Maida or all purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Warm water to make dough
  • How to Make Cabbage-Cheese Parathas:

    1. Take a bowl. Add wheat flour, maida, salt, melted ghee and make dough with warm water.
    2. Keep kneading the dough for 15 minutes until soft. Cover it let it stand for half an hour.
    3. Take the grated cabbage and squeeze out all the water in it.
    4. Heat a pan on a medium flame. Add the cabbage and all other ingredients except cheese and lemon juice.
    5. Fry until raw smell of the vegetable goes.
    6. Now remove from the flame, allow it to cool down and then add lemon juice and cheese. Mix it well.
    7. Take the dough and make medium or small size balls. Flatten it, keep 1 tsp of stuffing in it and seal it properly.
    8. Then roll it using a little maida flour into parathas.
    9. Heat a griddle, cook these parathas till golden brown in colour on both the sides..
