Ingredients

  • 1 - medium size fresh cabbage, chopped finely
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • 1 - onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp - chopped Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 sprig - Curry leaves
  • 1/2 cup - grated Coconut (optional)
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Cabbage Foogath

  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, garlic, and curry leaves.
  • When the mustard starts to splutter, add chopped onions and green chillies and fry till the onions turn slightly brown.
  • Add cabbage and salt and mix well.
  • Cover and cook for about 6 to 7 minutes till the cabbage is soft.
  • Add the grated coconut and mix well.
