Ingredients

  • 1 - medium size fresh cabbage, chopped finely
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • 1 - onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp - chopped Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 sprig - Curry leaves
  • 1/2 cup - grated Coconut (optional)
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Cabbage Foogath:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, garlic, and curry leaves.
    2. When the mustard starts to splutter, add chopped onions and green chillies and fry till the onions turn slightly brown.
    3. Add cabbage and salt and mix well.
    4. Cover and cook for about 6 to 7 minutes till the cabbage is soft.
    5. Add the grated coconut and mix well.
