Ingredients

  • 2 cups - cabbage (chopped )
  • 1 cup - peas
  • 2 cups - rice
  • 1 - onion (chopped)
  • 2 - tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 tsp - green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - ginger (grated)
  • 1 - cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tsp - asafoetida
  • 2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 2 tbsp - olive oil

How to Make Cabbage Pulav

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add asafoetida, cinnamon stick and cumin seeds.
  • Wait for popping and add ginger and onions.
  • Fry onions till golden and add all spices and salt, peas, tomatoes and green chilli.
  • Saute for 2 minutes and add cabbage in last, close lid and cook for 1 whistle.
  • Serve hot with pickle, chutney or curd.
