How to Make Capsicum Chutney

  • Heat oil and add cumin seeds.
  • When they splutter, add urad dal and saute until it gets slightly brown.
  • Add asafoetida, chopped capsicum, chopped chillies, and curry leaves.
  • Fry until the capsicum is half cooked.
  • Add tamarind pulp, salt, and sugar. Stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from gas and cool.
  • Once cooled, grind into a fine paste.
