Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp - granulated Sugar
  • 2 tbsp - water
  • juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • 1/4 tsp - glycerine

How to Make Caramel Sauce

  • Heat the sugar in heavy sauce pan, stirring continuously.
  • When the sugar melts and begins to turn brown, sprinkle water on top and stir again.
  • Add glycerine and stir again (the mixture should coat the back of a spoon).
  • Cook for a minute and take off the flame.
  • Stir in the lemon juice.
  • Pour onto cake, ice cream or pastry immediately.
