Ingredients

  • 1 cup - boiled and mashed potato
  • 1 cup - grated carrot
  • 2 tsp - green chilli, minced
  • 1 tsp - ginger, minced
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • besan (chickpea flour) as needed
  • oil to fry
  • salt to taste

How to Make Carrot and Potato Coins

  • Combine all the ingredients from potatoes to coriander leaves.
  • Mix in enough besan to form a mixture that is not sticky.
  • Divide the mixture into walnut-sized balls.
  • Flatten to a disc and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
  • Drain on kitchen paper.
  • Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
