Ingredients

  • 1 cup - carrot, grated
  • 1 tin - 14 oz - condensed Milk
  • 1.25 cup - Maida
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/2 cup - melted Butter
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  • For Hot Toffee Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup - Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp - Butter
  • 1/2 cup - Cream
  • 2 drop - vanilla essence
  • How to Make Carrot cake with hot toffee sauce:

    1. Sieve maida, baking soda and baking powder for even mixing.
    2. Grate the carrots and add the condensed milk, melted butter and carrots in a bowl. Mix it gently and evenly. Add vanilla essence to this.
    3. Now mix this wet ingredients to the flour mix and gently mix it.
    4. Grease a pan and pour the cake mixture.
    5. Bake this in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40 mins.
    6. Cool on a wire rack.
    7. To make the Toffee sauce, combine brown sugar, butter, cream, vanilla essence in a sauce pan.
    8. Gently mix this and simmer for 5-7 mins until the mixture thickens.
    9. Switch off the flame and keep it aside.
    10. Pour the toffee sauce over the cake.
