Ingredients

  • 20 baby Carrots
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1-2 cups - Sugar
  • Raisins and cashews - as per need
  • Ghee - for frying
  • How to Make Carrot Halwa Pressure Cooked:

    1. Grate the carrots and soak it completely in milk
    2. Cook the mix in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles so that the carrots are well cooked.
    3. Once the steam subsides pour 2-3 tsps of ghee in a wide-mouthed non stick vessel and pour the cooked carrot/milk mix into the vessel
    4. Add sugar (about 1.5 cups) and mix well and boil.
    5. Stir constantly. Once the mix has solidified, fry some raisins and cashews in ghee in a separate vessel.
    6. Spread the halwa in a plate and decorate with raisins and cashews.
