How to Make Carrot Halwa Pressure Cooked

  • Grate the carrots and soak it completely in milk
  • Cook the mix in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles so that the carrots are well cooked.
  • Once the steam subsides pour 2-3 tsps of ghee in a wide-mouthed non stick vessel and pour the cooked carrot/milk mix into the vessel
  • Add sugar (about 1.5 cups) and mix well and boil.
  • Stir constantly. Once the mix has solidified, fry some raisins and cashews in ghee in a separate vessel.
  • Spread the halwa in a plate and decorate with raisins and cashews.
