Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - Carrot
  • 3 - Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup - dry Coconut
  • 6 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 inch - Ginger
  • 1 tbsp - Poppy Seeds
  • 3 - big Onions
  • 2 - Cardamoms
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 1 inch - Cinnamon
  • 3 - pinch Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Carrot Kurma with Coconut:

    1. Grind dry coconut, green chillies, ginger and poppy seeds. Scrape and cut carrots into small pieces and cook them.
    2. Heat oil in a shallow pan and add the spices along with chopped onions and fry. When it is done add cut tomatoes and fry for few minutes.
    3. Add carrot and ground masala and enough water. Boil till gravy thickens.
    4. Decorate with coriander leaves and ring onions.
