Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - moong dal (soaked for 30 minutes)
  • 2 - carrots, grated
  • 1 cup - grated Coconut
  • 1 - Lemon
  • 1 bunch - Coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • 2 - green chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • For seasoning: 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Urad Dal
  • 1 - Red Chilli
  • How to Make Carrot Salad with moong dal:

    1. Mix the moong dal, grated carrot, grated coconut, chopped chillies, coriander leaves, salt and lemon juice.
    2. Heat oil and temper the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal and red chilli.
    3. Add the moong dal-carrot mixture and toss well.
    4. Serve immediately.
