4 cups grated
flour (Senagapindi, Besan)
1 cup powdered peanuts/groundnuts (roasted or raw)
1/2 cup grated
(fresh or dry)
a handful of cilantro, chopped finely
a small piece of ginger, skin peeled and chopped finely
or chilli powder, as needed (we added 6
a pinch of soda
salt as needed

How to Make Carrot vadas
Add all the ingredients (except the oil) in a bowl and mix together to make a thick dough using a very little water. Keep aside.
Pour oil in a deep skillet and heat. When it becomes hot, take small batches of the dough, shape into a small circle and drop carefully into the hot oil.
When they become cooked and change colour, remove from the hot oil and place on a plate covered with paper towel.
Let them cool for some time before you serve.
Repeat the same process with the remaining dough/batter.
