Ingredients

  • Grated cauliflower - 2 cups
  • Mustard - 1.5 tbsp
  • Tamarind pulp- 2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Green chilli - 6
  • Red chilli - 6
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Channa dal-1 tbsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Cauliflower Aava Pettina Koora

  • Microwave cauliflower for 4 mins.
  • Grind 1 tbsp mustard to a fine paste by adding little water
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add channa dal, urad dal, 1 tsp mustard and red chillies.
  • Allow mustard to splutter and add curry leaves, green chillies, sugar and tamarind pulp, turmeric and boil for a couple of mins.
  • Add cauliflower and salt and stir well until dry.
  • Add mustard paste, remove from flame and mix well.
