Cauliflower Coconut Balls is a unique snack that is made from cauliflower and fresh coconut. The snack is great to serve to the guests or for a house party.

It makes for a great accompaniment with tea or coffee. You can learn how to make it at home perfectly with our recipe tutorial and impress your guests next time. This vegetarian snack requires grated cauliflower and grated coconut to be mixed with some besan and spices in a bowl.

The balls are rolled and besan acts as a binder. These are then deep fried till they are crisp and dark brown in color. You can work on the presentation by laying them in small bowls with a mint leaf.


  • 2 cups - Grated Cauliflower
  • 1 cup - Freshly grated Coconut
  • 1 cup - Besan
  • 1 tsp - Roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 3 tsp - Lemon juice
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste
  • To serve:
  • 1 cup - Cauliflower cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Amchur powder
  • Few sprigs of fresh Mint leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Cauliflower Coconut Balls:

    1. To prepare the cauliflower coconut balls:
    2. Mix all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
    3. Shape into small balls and deep fry in hot oil or till crispy and brown in colour.
    4. To serve:
    5. Heat the oil and stir-fry the tiny pieces of cauliflower, adding the spices and mix well.
    6. Place in small glasses and place one cauliflower ball over this and also place a small fig of mint and serve in individual bowls.
