How to Make Chacko`s Semolina Payasam

  • In a deep bottomed pan, boil milk along-with sugar and cardamom powder. Boil till it reduces to half the volume and thickens.
  • While, the milk is being boiled, in a separate heated pan, dry roast semolina, till light golden brown. It will be done in about 5 minutes. Be careful not to burn it. Keep aside.
  • In the same pan heat ghee and sauté cashew and raisins till they become fully blown-up.
  • Now to the reduced milk add the semolina slowly and mix in thoroughly to avoid lump formation.
  • Add in the raisins and cashew and your semolina payasam is ready.
