Ingredients

  • 1 cup - shredded coconut
  • 2- Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 - Onion (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 1 tsp - Garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Oil
  • Salt

How to Make Chalna

  • Grind shredded coconut, green chillies and ginger garlic paste into a fine paste.
  • Add oil in a pan and add jeera. Once it splutters, add the onion and fry until it becomes golden brown.
  • Then add the ground paste, garam masala, salt, turmeric and add a little water.
  • Allow it to boil till the oil separates. Serve hot.
