Ingredients

  • cooked white Channa - 1 cup
  • Dried red chillies 3 to 4
  • white sesame seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Tamarind - 1/2 tsp
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • mustard - 1 tsp
  • black gram (Urad) Dal - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves a few
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Chana Chutney:

    1. Roast red chillies and sesame seeds with 2 tsp of oil.
    2. Grind them with Chana, tamarind and salt, adding some water.
    3. Heat remaining oil in a small fry pan.
    4. Add mustard seeds.
    5. When they splutter, add Dal.
    6. When it is brown, add curry leaves.
    7. Add this seasoning to Chutney.
