  • 2 cups - rice
  • 1/2 cup - chana dal
  • 1/4 cup - urad dal
  • 3 - medium-sized tomatoes
  • 4 - green chillies
  • 4 tbsp - fresh coconut
  • 2 tsp - jeera powder
  • 3 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2- finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup - chopped coriander leaves
  • A few curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Chana Dal Dosa

  • Soak rice, chana dal, and urad dal for 7 hours.
  • Grind to a smooth paste like of a dosa batter. Let it ferment overnight.
  • Grind tomatoes, coconut, and green chillies to a smooth paste. Add to the fermented batter.
  • Now add jeera and coriander powder, chopped onions, coriander leaves, curry leaves, and salt according to taste. Mix all the ingredients.
  • Heat a griddle, pour the batter, and spread it thinly.
  • Drizzle oil on the side.
  • Cook both sides till done. Repeat with rest of the batter.
