How to Make Chana dal Onion vada

  • Soak the dal overnight, drain, and grind it coarsely.
  • Heat 2 tbsps of oil in a vessel and season with a pinch of asafoetida and cumin seeds.
  • Pour the seasoning over the ground dal.
  • Cook on a low fire till it is soft. Add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Cool and form into vadas and deep fry.
  • Serve with coconut chutney.
