  • 1/2 kg - Mutton or Chicken
  • Salt to taste
  • 1-1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 - medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup - dal channa, pre-soaked
  • 1/4 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 1/4 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Chane ki dal gosht:

    1. Fry the onion in oil till it starts to turn brown.
    2. Add the spices and meat and let the water dry.
    3. Add the pre-soaked dal and 2 glasses of water.
    4. Cover and leave on low heat to tenderize.
    5. When both meat and dal have softened, add ginger and garam masala.
    6. For tarka: Fry a few slices of onion in a little oil and when brown add along with hot oil to the dish.
    7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and chopped green chilli.
    8. Serve with lemon.
