  • 1 cup - Channa dal (Bengal gram)
  • 1 - Cucumber (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 sprig - Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp - Coconut (shredded)
  • a dash of Lime
  • salt to taste
  • For seasoning: 2 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • How to Make Channa Dal Salad:

    1. Soak the channa dal for an hour and drain.
    2. Boil the dal till done and keep aside to cool.
    3. Add in cucumber, coconut, lime and coriander leaves.
    4. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
    5. When the seeds start to splutter, add them to the mixture and mix well.
    6. Add salt just before serving.
