Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup - Channa dal
  • 2 cup - grated Coconut powder
  • 1 - small sized Onion
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 2 - chopped Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tbsp - Cumin seeds
  • 6 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 tbsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tbsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Channa Dal With Coconut Powder:

    1. Soak the channa dal in water for 1 hour.
    2. Heat some oil, add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onions and green chillies, and cook till soft.
    3. Add channa dal, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and 2 cups of water, and cook it on a low flame for 20 mins.
    4. Then add tomatoes and cook it for 5 min.
    5. Mix with coconut powder and serve with rice or parathas.
