How to Make Channa Dal With Coconut Powder

  • Soak the channa dal in water for 1 hour.
  • Heat some oil, add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onions and green chillies, and cook till soft.
  • Add channa dal, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and 2 cups of water, and cook it on a low flame for 20 mins.
  • Then add tomatoes and cook it for 5 min.
  • Mix with coconut powder and serve with rice or parathas.
