Ingredients

  • Channa - 1/2 kg
  • Onions - 3
  • Small piece of Ginger
  • 3 to 4 flakes - Garlic
  • Tomatoes - 2
  • Chilli powder - 2 tbsp
  • Channa powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Oil
  • How to Make Channa Masala:

    1. Soak channa overnight and boil them with little salt
    2. Take 3 onions and grind them and make paste
    3. Take ginger and garlic and make a paste
    4. Grind tomatoes
    5. Then take oil and fry onion paste till golden brown
    6. Then add ginger garlic paste in that oil followed by ground tomatoes.
    7. Take a little channa and grind it and add to the gravy
    8. Then take the remaining boiled channa and add to the gravy
    9. Add chilli powder, salt, garam masala and channa powder
    10. Bring the gravy to boil nicely for about 15 mins
    11. Add coriander leaves or spring onions for garnish.
