Ingredients

  • 3 - leftover chapattis
  • 1 medium - Onion
  • 2 - green chillies, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tsp - Channa dal
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin (jeera)
  • A pinch of Sugar
  • Coriander leaves
  • Oil for cooking
  • How to Make Chapatti Upma:

    1. Cut the onions and the green chillies into fine pieces.
    2. Tear up the chapattis into small pieces.
    3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let it crackle.
    4. Now add the channa dal, urad dal and jeera.
    5. Add the onions and chillies, and saute.
    6. When it turns golden brown, add the chapatti pieces and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
