Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1.5 cup - grated cheese
  • 2 large Onions
  • 2 large Tomatoes
  • 1 cup - green peas, boiled
  • 1.5 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 cups - Milk
  • 1.5 tsp - ground Nutmeg
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Cheese & Egg Bake:

    1. Cut onions and tomatoes into rounds.
    2. Beat the eggs, add salt, pepper and nutmeg.
    3. Stir in cheese and milk.
    4. In a greased baking pan, arrange layers of onions and tomatoes, topped with green peas.
    5. Pour the custard and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
    6. Bake in an oven at 180 C until custard sets and is browned on top.
    7. Serve with green salad.
