  • Large potato - 1
  • Table butter - 2 tbsp
  • Minced garlic - 1 tsp
  • Grated cheddar cheese - 3 tbsp

How to Make Cheesy Garlic Potato Roast

  • Peel and cut the potato into 4 round (or oblong, depending on the shape of the potato) slices.
  • Cook in gently simmering water till soft, taking care not to overcook or break the slices.
  • Drain and cool slightly. Mix garlic with butter.
  • Apply garlic butter to both the sides of potato slices.
  • Make 2 sandwiches with potato slices, filling them with cheese.
  • Toast in sandwich toaster till golden brown. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
