Ingredients

  • 250g - Paneer
  • 250g - khoya
  • 2 tbsp - Maida
  • 1 tbsp - seeds of big black Cardamoms
  • 2 cups - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - essence of rose
  • silver foil
  • How to Make Chenna Pantua:

    1. Put 1 cup of water in sugar and prepare a syrup of one-thread consistency.
    2. Grind paneer and mix with khoya and maida, and knead to a smooth dough.
    3. Divide the mixture into small balls and shape each ball into a half-moon around 2 cardamom seeds.
    4. Deep fry them in oil over a slow fire to a golden brown colour.
    5. Drain, cover with foil, and toss into the syrup.
    6. Sprinkle essence on top.
