  • 250g - paneer
  • 250g - khoya
  • 2 tbsp - maida
  • 1 tbsp - seeds of big black cardamoms
  • 2 cups - sugar
  • 1 tsp - essence of rose
  • silver foil

How to Make Chenna Pantua

  • Put 1 cup of water in sugar and prepare a syrup of one-thread consistency.
  • Grind paneer and mix with khoya and maida, and knead to a smooth dough.
  • Divide the mixture into small balls and shape each ball into a half-moon around 2 cardamom seeds.
  • Deep fry them in oil over a slow fire to a golden brown colour.
  • Drain, cover with foil, and toss into the syrup.
  • Sprinkle essence on top.
